Chopped Strand Mat (CSM)

CSM is the most commonly used fiberglass reinforcement in all FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) applications
Made from randomly distributed glass fibers held together by a binder
It conforms easily to complex shapes and provides a smooth finish
Ideal for general-purpose lamination, repairs, and build-up layers

Available in:

• CSM 225 (lightweight for surface layers)

• CSM 300 (balanced for flexibility and strength)

• CSM 450 (medium strength, widely used)

• CSM 600 (heavy-duty reinforcement)

Features:

• Excellent conformability to curves and corners

• Smooth surface finish after lamination

• Easy to wet out with resin

• Compatible with polyester and vinyl ester resins
